Rather than dealing with Air China though, may be easier to call third party booked the ticket through, explain the problem and ask them to input the number into the booking.
The only way to do that is to book directly with CA - 0 issue putting my TK FFP.
You get 0 chance of better seats because they don't give a damn unless you are CA Plat.
If you are flying Y, wait until check-in because they are charging all the seats at the front. Try to see if someone has expert flyer to see if they can help to you to check to load. If they are open you can get them at check-in.
You could try their local sales office to see if they can help you to put those info there.
I just booked China Eastern through an OTA and they charge for every single service including $30 just to be seated together.
