Back in the day when BA were operating to Muscat - withdrawn around 4/5 years ago, IIRC ? - I flew First (reward booking of course !) on the late night 787 service ex-LHR

Distinctly remember hovering near the forward galley, around an hour or so after t/off, waiting to use the loo, and got into conversation with a member of CC.
I said :

“May I give you my breakfast order now, so that you can put it aside ?”
“Sure”
“Okay …… I’d like the scrambled egg with smoked salmon please”
There was then something of a wry smile - from both of us - as she replied in a very warm tone :
“Well ……. good that you’ve asked now …… there is only one of those loaded and I”ll put your name on it”

Five (inc. me) of the eight seats were occupied, so I’m not sure how many of my fellow passengers were left disappointed !
