I would go along with the above. Essentially it's a simple test - did you need the item? And were you reasonable in what you bought? Given the sort of trip, then I would expect BA to pay for all documented items, and because you have receipts they can't really get into the game as to whether to apply depreciation on the items. I note that you are now running close to 21 days from the incident - be aware that if your items need to be fully replaced because the bag is deemed permanently lost, then that still comes out of the Montréal limit. which is currently £1614. If you go beyond that it's either for insurance, or for a complex legal case based on HAL or BA showing reckless behaviour or similar. I would expect your claim to get some extra attention due to the value, but I don't think you need to be too worried about that.
