OK, that's good then. The QR LHR check in forces you to hand over your bag to a bell boy, get a tag in return and then sit down and wait. Only place I've actually experienced sit down check in done well at an airport was the new JAL F HND check in because passengers numbers are so low.
LP at CDG is pretty seamless. As a general matter, the sitting concept makes more sense when checking in bags and the process is longer.
