Was in Calgary for a few nights and to be honest, usually stay near the airport etc., Sheraton Cavalier has been a staple for many years. I figured I would try out the new Element Downtown as location wise it was going to work just fine.
Very impressed with this new hotel which was a transition from a previous office building. The place still smells new and was nicely done I thought. Service was excellent all around from a nice welcome with a very early check-in along with an upgraded room etc.,
This Element actually has a restaurant on the upper floor which is really quite nice (rooftop patio) that does not open till the later part of the afternoon hence this is where breakfast is served which is a nice change. They also have a coffee shop on main floor.
Parking is probably not the best as it is pretty much streetside pull up, off of 4th avenue. I did not have a vehicle but will assume they offered parking as they have valet service?
All in all very glad I chose this hotel and was very impressed with it. (Note: I believe they do not provide daily housekeeping - every 2 days if that matters) Definitely a nice new option in Calgary for this level of a property.
