Apologies for the delayed response. We’re equally excited to now be part of World of Hyatt and to welcome you as a valued Globalist member.
I’m happy to confirm the following for your upcoming award stay:- Complimentary parking will be extended to you as part of your Globalist benefits, in recognition of your Reward Night stay.
- You’ll enjoy complimentary Globalist breakfast daily at our on-site restaurant.
- Your room will be upgraded complimentary.
- And of course, you're entitled to a 4:00 PM late check-out.
We’re truly looking forward to having you with us and are here for anything you need before or during your stay.
I had a wonderful stay on the Fourth of July at the Standard, which is Anything but Standard as per their motto! And I loved the upside down logo too.
As noted above, their WoH team confirmed by email that all Globalist benefits would be honored, and since it was an award stay, my parking was complimentary (the parking garage is 1 block away on Lafayette Street, next door to the wonderful Astor Wines shop, and I believe that the overnight hotel guest parking price is $55, no in-and-out privileges).
Check-in was friendly and professional as they thanked me for being a Globalist, and they said that they are looking forward to welcoming more Globalists as they are now proudly part of World of Hyatt. Their doorman was super friendly and very proactive with opening the door for all guests.
I was upgraded (without asking) to the small but elegant Studio Suite which I really quite enjoyed despite its smaller size. The bathroom was small but efficient, and with heated floors like at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome, but the suite and the bathroom are not to be confused with the far more spacious suite and bathroom at the Andaz Fifth Avenue, our favorite go-to Hyatt in Manhattan. That said, we really loved the vibe of this cool hotel!
The front desk handed us 2 wristbands which would allow us to gain access to the top floor to watch the Fourth of July fireworks (which was spectacular), and once the show was over, we can surrender the wristbands at the NO Bar for a free drink per wristband, a very nice touch!
The Globalist breakfast was nice and complimentary of course, and we could order anything that we want from the menu (we ordered their wonderful pastry basket with their superb croissants). We also checked out at 3:00PM as the 4:00PM late checkout was proactively offered.
We really LOVE the location, as it's barely 2 blocks from Fish Cheeks, our favorite Thai restaurant on Bond Street, and we walked the 20 minutes to Union Square to eat and shop, thanks to the gorgeous weather.
We will be back, and soon!
