UA Clubs at ORD was lying about "no access for one-time pass from Chase"?
what should I do when UA Club at ORD was lying about "no access for one-time from Chase"?
the first time this happened, I was told that the one-time pass from Chase could not be used at that UA Club. She told me to go to another one. The Club was not full. She said I could get in if I had a one-time pass purchased on the app. Since I didn't feel like walking to the other location and back to my gate, I went to McD and had some food Didn't think much of it after that.
Last month, I went to a different UA Club location at ORD and got told the same thing. 7AM on a Sunday morning. The employee said the same thing. Only paid members or paid one-time passes only. No Chase passes. I asked if it was because the location was very full. She said "oh, there are only a handful of folks inside right now"... She told me to try the Club in Terminal 2 because Chase passes were accepted there. (what the heck... I was in Terminal 1 and my flight was leaving from Terminal 1)
On my return flight from SFO, I had no issues using a one-time pass here.
Fast forward to this morning, I was flying out of ORD Terminal 2 with my friend. She had her own Chase one-time UA Club pass. I had my own. We were both denied at the UA Club in Terminal 2. This time, I knew someone was lying. The employee here gave me the same speech. When I asked her to show me where on UA's website mentioned this, she could not. I would even settle for any kind of printed policy that she could show me. She could not. I asked her if my friend and I walked to Terminal 1, would we be admitted? She said "of course" but I think that was a bluff because she knew we didn't have the time to do that. I wrote down her name and asked her to say it on my phone.(that we were denied entry because we were using Chase's UA one-time passes)
Can anyone tell me if three different UA Club employees at three different locations within ORD were all lying? Or just a case of them enforcing a non-existent rule that they made up?
