I just renewed my membership at the individual level. I noticed that, when I checked into the club in DEN, that the system did not ask me if I was traveling solo or had guests. I was under the impression that *G and above would get upgraded to the "all access membership" based on the following statement: "United Club cardmembers can unlock All Access membership after reaching Premier Gold Status"..
I was told by the agent that that statement only applies to credit card holders, and not to people who buy membership out right. Is that correct?
Also, I assume I can still access Star Alliance lounges, based on my status. The "All Access Membership" provides "Access to Star Alliance partner lounges", but I guess that statement is only relevant to people who do not have Star Alliance Gold status.
