Reserve by Clear: Separate reserve-your-security-queue-spot for free service at a few places, including at JFK T4. Managed by Clear. Everyone seems to be clueless about it, I just go to the signposted spot and wave my arms..someone comes over, has no clue what I have booked, takes me direct to the TSA boarding pass scanner.

Pretty sure GE comes with Pre for all travel- there’s no difference in the TSA process for domestic or international travel. I’m ineligible for Pre, hoping that the age comes through sooner rather than later..
sorry to be so dense, but how much does Clear actually help expedite? i can't figure it out from your already thoughtful information. a little, like 3-5 minutes? or medium./somewhat, like 10 minutes? or they help greatly like saving you 15+ minutes?

also: it sounds like Clear also doesn't have a presence at Terminal 8, right? then everyone is out of luck at Terminal 8, right?

you said earlier that the TSA line is only ~20 minutes or so, so it's not crazy long, just somewhat inconveniently long. i mean, it's not like 30+ minutes or 45 minutes long, right?

i don't understand why Cathay would think this premium product (First Class) deserves so few benefits! they don't even have a proper lounge in Terminal 8.

isn't this quite a disappointing experience all around for Cathay's first class experience? just thinking out loud.
