I would think that ~20 minutes should be enough. I like to leave myself plenty of time, but have never had an issue - if things look bad, I wouldn't hesitate to flag someone from CX down for help. The lounges/typical CX gates are pretty close post TSA so you don't need to budget for long walks. Overall, I find T8 to be much more pleasant/TSA queues be better than at T4, the other terminal that I ocassionally use. But T4 has Reserve by Clear, which T8 doesn't (I don't have Pre, have Clear - though that is not needed for Reserve).
jagmeets so yes, i was in Terminal 4 when i flew Emirates and i used the Priority Pass lounge's side door and Priority Pass lounge staff are super great at escorting you the few steps from inside the lounge to the side door where you're precisely at the very front of the TSA line where the machine begins, so you literally walk out of that side door and lift your carry on suitcase and place it right on the machine. that was good.

may i ask what Clear does please? i have Global Entry already for years and what might i gain if i also subscribed to Clear please? i don't mind the extra subscription (don't love the extra cost, but if it helps...) but i thought it only helps you coming BACK to the US. i also don't understand how Clear is different from Global Entry if Global Entry already processes your entry super fast, how does Clear work even better please? of course, also, what Clear does in terms of flying from JFK to somewhere else.

thank you so much in advance.
