Given AA's last near decade of quarterly filings being trounced by the competition, it is very apparent that they neither crunch numbers, or if they do, have zero idea what they mean.
As much as I agree with you about the lack of AA's financial success, I disagree that they are incapable of crunching numbers. In fact, I think they are
too focused on numbers and can't see the forest from the trees.
AA's lack of success stems from management's lack of vision, strategy, and understanding the "squishy" things that don't reflect obviously in the numbers.
