Hi there, I'm a globalist with 3 kids (11/12/13). I see plusses and minus' for both the Grand Hyatt and the Andaz and looking to stay over Christmas time for just a quick stay on the way to the Pacific North West.
Both have suites open. What would be the better two-night stay? I see good recommendations on both sides.
Have stayed at both with kids (and without kids). It’s really not a debate: GH wins.
- More activities onsite, kids will have some freedom to roam and explore (eg rock climbing wall, outdoor putting green, tennis)
- Lounge gives a place to hang as a family, which I could see as a good change of scenery from your room, especially if it’s raining
- Speaking of poor weather, GH is all connected indoors. If the weather sucks, you’ll have to walk outside at Andaz to get to the restaurant, etc.
- Not as much a factor over Xmas, but pool situation is much more kid friendly (eg slide, volleyball, etc.) at GH. Pool at Andaz is basically just for lounging.
