I need to buy a separate flight from AUS to get to LAX. Will I get United Club lounge access Thursday morning in AUS if I buy a United economy ticket? Not sure how strict "same day" is, especially as it'll be separate itineraries. Currently United Silver but at the time of the flight it'll have lapsed and I'll have no status.

Also I'm a bit worried if I can actually get a boarding pass for the EVA Air flight to prove I have a Star Alliance business class ticket before physically checking-in at LAX, since previous experience with other airlines has been hit or miss sometimes on if I can get a mobile boarding pass or not due to the passport checks. Not sure if they'd take a confirmation number?
