293 to Rome was cancelled, now seems to be going... weird.

Customer service and chat are useless. We've screenshots of all of it.

We bought new tickets on Qatar at a greater price, to simply not deal with CX's nonsense and get there.
I am sure we will get the money back and we have insurance just in case.

Has Cathay plummeted to the level of not even advising people? (unless you constantly go into MMB).

There should have been new flights to choose online, but none.

I was Diamond and Gold for years.. no wonder folks like me left.
For clarity, tommorow is referring to 20Jul25 (CX716 SIN-HKG and then CX293 HKG-FCO departing 21Jul25)

As published, CX has delayed/cancelled flights into/out of HKG until 18:00 tommorow. Given that your flight (CX716) is arriving into HKG at 22:05, this is outside of the affected window.

Will you have a plane? I assume so. CX714 is cancelled today (20Jul25), which was flown out from HKG on 19Jul25 so there are spare aircraft/crew in SIN to operate your flight.

I'm not too sure what you prescribe as CX nonsense. As the "communication" suggests: your flights are clearly outside of the affected time window and whilst you may be anxious, there isn't anything to worry about. In fact, the whole of idea of cancelling 13hrs worth of operations is such that flights like yours continue to be operable; so that crew/aircraft are in the right place for when operations resume.
