Please note that the Four Seasons Executive suite with pool is a great option, but lacks dramatic views of the Red Sea as they are situated one level below the former.
Wishing you a wonderful stay at one of the best FS resorts out there!
So if someone wants a Palm view from the balcony (like on the official FS Premier Sea View room photo - few posts below), it seems the lower ground location would be better?
Given FS Suite is $1,659 per night (in August at least) and FS Suite pool $1,685, it's interesting that there is only $26/night difference between them. My only concern or worry is the privacy from FS Suite pool? If FS Suite is located above then they can easily peek into your pool from above or am I getting this wrong? Again if someone wants palm views from their terrace I believe FS Suite pool would fulfil it better than those suites on the higher floor without the pool?
My worry is the uncertainty of the view from FS Suite Pool or Premier rooms located on the lower floor. Based on the picture from FS website, FS suite with pool have this view:
Above: FS Suite with pool photo directly from FS website
Above: This is a photo from the new FS Suite pool posted by someone on Youtube few months ago. Based on the YT video the FS suite was brand new - renovated. Ending up with FS Suite like this is less than ideal, as you get no view at all..
Above: This is Premier Sea-View room photo directly from FS website. Based on this photo it seems the location of this room is in the lower level due to the palm views?
I am currently contemplating between choosing Premier Sea-View room $451 per night including taxes vs FS Suite pool $1,685. I am just thinking whether FS Suite with pool is wroth triple price difference? Although I am going in a low season (August) and while the property seems expansive, the photos I saw shows that the sun beds on either the pools or beach are quite cramped next to each other giving you not much privacy, unless you are lucky to get a cabana which can be hit and miss? The beach also looks very small.

Not sure where are you seeing this? I run a search for stay in August and FS Suite with pool is $1,685 with taxes per night.

How are the meal plans? Have heard they can be somewhat miserly with a lot missing from the a la carte menu and no option to pay a supplement if wanted
How easy and well priced are upgrades when at the property? We have booked a Premier Island View room and would love to get to a suite in the same area if possible
Thanks in advance!
I never go for meal plans and would definitely recommend against it in properties like FS. The whole concept of meal plan may work well in All Inclusive hotels or buffet restaurants but in a la carte restaurants it just doesn't work well given you prepay for the meals and then you still have to pay on top for something you like. Stay and dine package on FS website does describe 3 meal plan:
