Anyone knows that happened to the July 14th SFO to TPE flight that got cancelled? Tech?

Follow up on the previous post that got send prematurely, my wife and kids were put on a flight to PVG (their final destination) and she said the C class is barely half full and Y class was barely 1/3 full (she sits in C class). Why is the ticket more expensive then ex-TPE (which is usually fully booked)?
