Online check-in for the JAL segment (CX codeshare) did not work but I was helped quickly at the airport. My bigger issue right now is that the horrible Cathay app bugged out and I lost my preferred 40C infinite legroom seat. It now shows as occupied but I don't have it anymore. We'll see if I can get it back from the HND lounge agents, in HKG, or at the gate. Otherwise I hopefully have one of the last economy rows to myself and will just accept to deplane last in Frankfurt tomorrow morning.
All this drama unfolded in the CTS Diamond Premier lounge which is quite a nice space. Little bit rude that the ice cream is on offer only starting from 15 minutes after I have to leave! Otherwise, the catering is sparse but the Onigiri are very tasty. Of course, I also had to get a last Sapporo Classic.
