I just flew on a new 737 Max 8 from DEN to MSP. The plane itself was pleasant, but my 3-hour delay was not. I honestly still enjoy flying southwest, because I am a carryon only traveler.
Also, the AMEX Centurion lounge in concourse C at DEN was an absolute mess. There was a ~45 min wait to get in and it look very full. Not quite shoulder to shoulder, but very crowded. I just sat at my gate and watched TV on my iPad instead.
Do you recall the flight number? Was it WN3503 on the 16th?
The Centurion Lounge was the one thing I missed after we canceled our AMEX card, but I’ve never experienced a lounge during IRROPS. I’ve heard that the Denver lounge is incredibly popular during normal Ops, too.
