I know, my connection will be protected by KLM duty of care, but I'm really concerned to make this connection. I will have checked bags as well. My plan is to show up at check-in around noon at ZRH, and will ask if I could move to KL1922. Or should I forge out another € 350 to change my flight? Thoughts?
Thanks for any contribution!
I'm a regular on KL1924 and can confirm that this is not a very punctal one. Departing at the same time as the LX evening wave and arriving into busy AMS potentially slot restricted or delayed by a summer thunderstorm either in ZRH, or in AMS or one the way (re-routing, extra time). On the positive side: The flight time is usually much faster than the published block time. However I agree that the KL807 connection is very tight. As said by previous poster, the question is how urgent you need to arrive on the next day there and how flexible you are. There are more Asian departures later in the evening opening up opportunities to still arrive the next day although later of course and with a connection f.e. in SIN or KUL. KL would also be obliged to book you on the later EK flight (in case f.e. the KL SIN and KUL flights cannot be reached), however they will not do this voluntarily. - although EC261 requires them to offer you the next available connection to get you to your destination.

If you really have to be there on time, it is worth considering the extra money for a safe connection.
