It's funny, I have been Platinum for 4.5 years, and on every single Y long-haul I took since I was greeted and asked if I needed something, and told to always reach out if I did need anything at a later point (in J long-haul, I would usually just get a greeting at the end of the flight, since you're already much better taken care of), then I mentioned that on this thread... and on my next Y long-haul I got NOTHING

I'm amid the likely few who maintains status via many more personal trips than business ones, since I now work for myself and not a big multinational tech company, and I split my life between two countries. It's rare that I can justify the expense of a long-haul J out of pocket (on my most frequent itinerary, it's always 5-6k) -- having the BofA FB card helps, plus purchasing some SAF every trip. So it's always a nice treat to get some "soft" benefits, while not demanding them!
