On the first evening I arrived too late for the executive lounge. On the second day I had a late lunch and wanted to walk around the park in the evening to take photos of illuminated buildings.
The happy hour started at 5:30pm as far as I remember. I went the executive lounge and took a photo at 5:46pm, which I posted in the thread. As you will see there were cakes and fruits but nothing much else. I’ve found some reviews on the internet which seem to confirm that lounge food and drinks were not plentiful. Although alcoholic drinks are allowed in Uzbekistan I don’t think the lounge served any alcoholic drinks.
I’ve no idea what I was doing between the time I took the photo I posted and when I took photos in the park (it didn’t get dark until about 9pm) but whatever happened I didn’t stay in the lounge long and did’t have much/anything to eat or drink.
I hope
TTL who is staying there in August will check and report the lounge situation.
Thanks for the reply. When I visited Uzbekistan in 2017 (Tashkent, Khiva, Samarkand & Bokhara) there were no Hilton properties, and you could get double the amount of the local currency on the black market (not so anymore). Photography was not allowed in the metro stations and there were bag searches on entry. I would like to revisit Samarkand and Bokhara in the next few years.
