Update
I arrived on separated tickets with AA at T5.
had a check in lugguage (carryon size).
went to TBIT and directly to security with my 2 carry on (i fly J). No problem at all

but more interesting part : there is an early check in counter for various skyteam airlines opening at 1PM. So you can eartly check in and drop off.
