Just like everything else, United is consistently inconsistent.
I've been offered pajamas on short flights like SFO-KIX and told they don't have any on long-haul flights (SFO-MEL/AKL), where they're supposed to be available because of the qualifying longer flight time.

I think these two basic principles apply to flying with United:
1. They are consistently inconsistent with whatever service level/offering that they themselves advertise.
2. Go in with low expectations on service levels/offerings and you’ll be fine and/or surprised/delighted 😊
On the PJ availability issue, another pet peeve is how they will offer it on say the outbound leg, but the return on the same leg they won’t because it is “less than 14” hours.
