That probably depends on ones travel patterns, but if you want TYP then the Citi DC paired with the Elite/Prestige/Premier will give you 2x TYP everywhere and it is a no fee card. Now it does have a FTF so not good for international spend but if most of your spend is domestic it is not a bad play. I also hold the DC and Premier so the Elite is not exciting me even with AA transfers. Now I know some folks value simplicity so maybe this is what Citi is aiming for in the target market.
I do not think that not mentioning the restaurant feature is an indication that it will be removed, because restaurants are a "standard" part of a purchased Priority Pass membership. However, there is also this sentence in the MasterCard Legend announcement "Mastercard-exclusive dining spaces will also redefine the pre-flight experience by blending comfort, locally inspired flavors, and must-have travel amenities." This could be a rebranding of the Priority Pass restaurant network, or it could be that MasterCard is planning to open lounges, or something else that I have not imagined.
That is a good point. I was going with what the Youtuber who was the source of the original DoC post stated. But you are right we will have to see what the lounge access looks like when the details are released. Personally I am just hoping they leave the legacy Citi Prestige card alone and I can happily keep doing what I am doing.
