Did you end up staying there? If so (or if anyone else has recently), I'd be very glad to hear your thoughts.
I stayed there several times in 2021-23 and generally really liked the hotel, although there were a couple of times I had some issues with the room (which I attributed to post-covid hiccups and which were addressed pretty promptly.) At that time, I don't believe it was Marriott-affiliated. I just saw on the Marriott site that the hotel is now a Marriott, and - wow - the review score on the site is terrible (2.4). Now, I admit it's been a couple of years since I was last there, but I can't for the life of me think of any reason the hotel would get such poor ratings. Have things come off the rails there?
My experiences were always good, or at least no worse than anything else you'd find at other hotels. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice enough, the location is great, and the hotel was much quieter than other places I've stayed on busier streets like Chestnut. Is it really terrible now?
