Hi, understand this is a two years old tread, but I’m facing the exact situation. I’m flying ANA, which was codeshare with United. I booked a premium economy via United on class R.
Upon writing in to ANA to confirm the booking fare class, they replied the following:
We are in receipt of your updated email.
In response to the query, the mileage accrual rate is determined by the
booking class listed on the purchased ticket. Please note that the
United Airlines' R-class is not automatically equivalent to ANA's
N-class fare.
As this is a R-class fare on an ANA-operated flight, if passengers wish
to accrue miles under the ANA Mileage Club (AMC) account, this
will not be an eligible booking class.
While ANA may assist with registering frequent flyer numbers for
partner airlines before departure upon request, we do not have access
to the mileage accounts of other airlines. Therefore, any inquiries
regarding mileage credit should be directed to the chosen airline
mileage program.
Thank you again for contacting ANA.
This further add to the confusion as I really needed this miles as I’m short of 10,000 miles for my Krisflyer to maintain my gold status, and this ANA SIN to LAX return if in class N, will help me to retain my gold status. Appreciate if anyone can assist to give some opinion.
