But there is a ray of hope here. It seems like many AS partners are no longer releasing reasonable award seats 330 days out, but are doing so for travel 0-45 days out.
I am seeing lots of award seats in J at the 55K-70K levels on Aer Lingus, American, Finnair, Condor and British Airways out of their various gateways during the remainder of July and most of August 2025.
And I have been seeing these award seats "roll forward" as this summer of 2025 has progressed. Hopefully they will all soon appear in the September calendars.

In many cases, the attractively priced award seats are only available from the international gateway to Europe, and it makes sense to book the connecting space on Alaska or American from your starting point to that international gateway on a separate ticket, with plenty of connecting time at the gateway as having two separate tickets will not protect you if you misconnect.

So, you may not be able to claim seats for next summer right now, but you can certainly do the research for the 2026 route you want to travel using 2025 July and August dates to see what might become available.
