here is the deal... There is a glitch on AS.com and the AS app that almost any EU flights on DE (I am serious, try PMI-FRA) will be 400k, so if you add them on to a trans atlantic flight then you pay 400k. You can complain about it and have nothing or just book a $75 onward flight from FRA to your destination of choice. Until AS fixes that glitch, there is almost no way to add an intra EU segment on to the longhaul awards.
