My favorite place to wait is Transfer Counter A. There are couches, outlets, and clean bathrooms even a shower. The only thing is no food. I haven't personally been to the B or C transfer counters, but I know that D doesn't have a waiting area, just the counter. D is where both of your flights will likely arrive.
All arrival areas are connected downstairs so one can go from A to B to C to D. A to D is a nice walk or one can take the tram. I have done this once while I waited for family to arrive 2 hours later.
Thanks for info. When you say transfer counter A, is that where only transfer passengers can enter? My daughter flying SFO-TPE doesn't have any domestic transfers ..she will walk out of TPE with us who will be arriving after 2 hours from LAX.
