andre1970, I flew from TLV to ATL and the letter I wrote I sent to USA customer service. In the airport though it took about 40 minutes waiting for a LH representative.
Regarding broken trolkeys or suitcases _all_ my friends who claimed baggage damage got btw. 100 to 150 euro vaucher to buy a similar suitcase/trolley in LH authorised shop (All this happened in FRA of course:-)
