A couple of queries. Hope you can help.

i have a holiday booking coming up it’s a flight + car hire however I have only paid the deposit but because I booked it a long time ago it’s quite good value ( CW for around 2K)

i am flying from LHR - BOS with car hire for 2 days
then flying back JFK - LHR


however instead of Boston I now need to fly to Miami, I can get a reward flight to Miami whilst keeping my original booking for around £800 + 45,000 Avios. So my question is will recoup any of the Avios by using cash plus Avios to purchase my ticket to Miami, I’m guessing I will receive some Avios for the trip original booking but as I don’t have an abundance of Avios I’m keen to hold on to as much as I can.

if you have any ideas on best to navigate this please let me know.
