Flew to PHX on Saturday, and my 9yo daughter gets very scared of air travel. She's flown from being a baby, but after two years of not flying because of Covid, when we returned to the skies with a few short-hauls, she's hated take-offs and gets terribly anxious & tearful.

She was dreading the plane to PHX for our summer hols. I mentioned it to the crew upon boarding, and three of them came and spent time with her at her seat (2F) on the A350, reassuring her and giving her some great positive comments and advice. They checked in with her (and me) multiple times in the flight, and the FO even had a chat with her when she went up to use the toilet by herself mid-flight. He then offered her a cockpit visit (which we all enjoyed) upon landing.

But what I thought was even more amazing, was this lovely card they presented to her as we came in to land. I know for a fact she'll keep this forever. She's already asked me to frame it for her bedroom wall.

In my book, this was going above & beyond. Zero cost to the airline, but so lovely and memorable. She's still talking about it four days later.
