On one hand this sounds like a fun activity and if the people in the room are into it, could make for a nice evening.
On the other: @10k pts = $66/hr for some canapés and maybe beer/brut with the track in the distance.

I watched practice in Vegas for an hour on the track. That was enough for me.

If you can make the travel work, I say do it for the experience, if getting to SIN and finding accommodation is a hassle, pass.
