I just booked a biz flight with Avion using the 2cpp redemption with a biz avion card. It's not the fixed point program many people use (15k points for $350 short haul or 35k points for $750 domestic/transborder). Before booking, the website let me pull up the fare rules. I'm flying UA (AC 014 ticket) then return on AC metal. The fare basis for each leg is PK02A2EF/DQ01A1EF. The fare rules shared by Avion and on EF seem to indicate it's a regular ticket and not a rewards ticket (in the usual sense like points plus cash for taxes/fees). For the ticket I purchased, I couldn't find the same itinerary under the fixed points scheme. The flexible points scheme with Avion generally gives access to all flights available like a regular OTA. This is why I didn't think it's a "regular Avion rewards" ticket.

Anyway, I couldn't find anything that would indicate in the fare rules that I won't earn mileage (I mostly need to earn SQD to try to squeak into SE this year). However, the booking confirmation from Avion said "Miles earned" is not included in the purchase. Does anyone know if there's something in the fare rules that would indicate that there is no SQX earned? Part of me thinks it's just a generic email that Avion sends with bookings to indicate no mileage under their usual fixed points scheme. But if there's nothing in the fare rules that indicates no SQX, and they still don't award it, I'm out of SQD that I'm expecting to accumulate. I can always cancel the Avion ticket, use cash and save those points for a family member that isn't looking to qualify.

Anyone with experience booking AC ticketed biz fares using the business/infinite privilege avion scheme of 2cpp for business class tickets?
