Recent experience at TPE, traveling with my wife:

Outbound, the security officer would not allow her in the ABTC security and x-ray queue. “Only cardholders”. There were no other passengers going through that queue, so crowding wasn’t the issue.

Once past security, there was no issue with immigration. They allowed both of us through.
