Dropping a final leg that has been CXL'd?

Partial ticket cancellation

Modified an AF ticket a few weeks back to included add on a very short hop (AF-coded non-ST partner) leg (came at quite a heftier price than it should have due to slow AF pricing - the sale ended by the time they got back to me).

Now that final leg has been CXL'd (due to time change) and better yet, the alternate offered on the wesbite and app is also showing CXL'd. Waiting for the final next flight is probably not preferred as we could get home in that time, as tedious as that process might be. AF is of course offering a refund but I don't want to do that. Dropping the final leg will result in a hefty refare and I want some of my money back due to their pricing tardiness. Biding our time for now but just wondering what I should do. DOn;t want to call as that would probably limit my future options.
