I was supposed to fly UA2044 EWR-SEA last night, but bailed on the flight after looking at the forecast. Good thing I did, because it departed 4h07m late, though I suppose if I were on that flight I should be glad it even made it out at all.
Is it just me or this summers weather (particularly on the east coast) significantly worse than past years? I don't remember nearly as many evening delays/cancellations in previous summers. And I'm JFK/LGA based.
For perspective, it rained every single weekend last summer, for something like 12 weeks straight.
