Pre-landing meal, shrimp with tangy cream sauce and black rice

Pretty good meal service on CDG-ORD yesterday. I had the salmon and shrimp which was solid, if a little basic -- I mean this as a positive review but I found myself thinking while eating it, "this is like those rare days when you have a domestic first class meal on the US airlines where you think, hey, this is actually pretty good?" As in, it was good and entirely edible, but nothing special by international business class standards. My husband had the duck lasagna and liked it though said there wasn't ultimately a lot of duck.

Pre-landing meal was quite good, with a decent amount of shrimp. The fruit seemed to be oranges or the like rather than the marketed grapefruit, which were at least decently sweet; grapefruit slices would make for a rather puritan dessert.
