I am about 50/50 for proactively being asked if I want them/mattress pad on my ~20 SFO-HK and back trips this year, when not offered I usually ask when boarding has calmed down and before takeoff to make sure they dont run out of pads. those 2 + window bulkhead seat makes for a nice ride and a nice sleep IMHO.
