After a greeting by the Swedavia/Arlanda airport host, the shuttle bus dropped the group at the inconspicuous Swedavia VIP/CIP facility located away from the main terminals.
Upon entrance to the lounge, we all went through security screenings. It's unsurprising that passengers willing to pay for such services receive different ads from PE companies from the Ryanair-flying kind, but I did get cracked up when a notice to get airport-approved taxis only showed up on the screen. (P.s., the official website says "
If you are arriving with your own car, you are also able to book favourably priced parking in advance", which I also find a little funny).

If one forgets to bring toileteries, products of some high-end spa can be purchased too. (This is a Japanese Onsen, I see).
The interior is designed by architects at
Tengbom, an office known for the Nordic aesthetics. "The rooms are characterized by light wood and an exclusive choice of furniture and design details of which the majority has Nordic origins.". I do quite like simplistic yet grounded "rustic" nordic styles, provided that wood is actual wood, not veneers!
And looking at the flag poles at the entrance definitely made me feel somewhat important.
