We touched down smoothly on runway 19R but in a total blast, acoustically or visually and once we vacated, a follow-me escort led Daisy on an around-the-field demonstration taxi, marching through all terminals. Although Arlanda opened in 1962 after Daisy was transferred to the air force, it was a grand homecoming.
Here comes the cover photo. The ANA Boeing 787 is preparing for departure to Haneda on NH221, and there must be many cameras aimed towards the outside now...
And we have a welcoming crowd! Now only did the corresponding FBO people show up with a red carpet, everybody stopped by the parking spot to take a picture. Police, fire/rescue, Arlanda operations, VIP/CIP, security guards, other FBOs...
My camera bag is quite bulky so was stored in the cargo hold between the cockpit and the cabin.
A cabin shot as everyone was disembarking. If there are any complaints, it's probably the lighting which is rather poor, especially in a dark cloudy day.
Without the chubby boarding stairs, getting out of the DC3 was with not so much elegance. Quite curious if the lights are for jumping, as they were on D-day?
With Daisy parked on ARN's apron, the scene was quite surreal!
