Unless your citizenship changed between passports, just update on the website. CBSA hasn't physically touched my 3 passports since my intial interview more than 10 years ago (1 10-year, 1 1-year limited validity, current 10 year) . No issues crossing in either direction by air/land.
yeah this has been covered many many times on this forum. No need to email anything to CBSA just update it on the TTP website. They do in fact get the update even if an agent thinks otherwise.
