What is your Rewards Club status? Diamond
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? It was OK.
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest entry level and that is what we received as the hotel was full.
How are the rooms? Huge for entry level. Our room was on the top floor of the art deco block. We had a comfortable bed plus a sofabed with a decent quality mattress. There was an armchair plus a desk and chair. We had a balcony with more seating, which overlooked the ground level pool. A family of four would have been comfortable here. Quiet and efficient aircon. There were two wardrobes, a stocked minibar and a microwave. No coffee machine but tea and coffee were available in the lobby. Bathroom included a walk in shower, no tub. Amenities were Atelier Bloem.
[If you are Spire and Inner Cricle]
How was your complimentary welcome amenity? We chose breakfast. When we checked in, I mentioned the secret password and was invited to spin the wheel. I received a bottle of wine.
Did you raid the minibar? If so, what did you take? With social hour, the secret password wine and two canned cocktails we didn’t need any more booze.
Were you offered a Chef's Taste at Dinner, If so, what did you receive? NA, my son ordered room service.
Did you use the free spa credit / did the hotel participate? If so, was it a good value? NA
What was good and what was bad? Good - room was huge. I took the bed and my son took the sofa bed. We overlooked the internal courtyard where the ground level pool was located so our room was nice and quiet. Washington Avenue is very busy so we were lucky not to have a street side room. Our outdoor balcony was excellent for drying off swimwear before our flight home. We chose breakfast as our Diamond amenity. This covered meals to the value of $70 which was ample. I chose steak and eggs. Two pools, the one on the roof was bigger and much busier as it also had a bar so we used the one at ground level which was quieter but smaller. Social hour included wine (red, white, rosé), beer, a tequila based cocktail and soda.
Bad - we arrived at 4, which was standard check in time. The room was not ready. We received two canned cocktails to drink while we waited.

No upgrade as the hotel was full. Resort fee, enough said. The towel rack at the pool was empty so we had to return to reception for these. The bathroom wasn’t great. The floor hadn’t been cleaned since the previous occupants departed. There were several long black hairs on it. We both have short fair hair. When asked about our stay at checkout, I mentioned this and we were promised 10,000 points to apologise. The large bottles of bathroom amenities were so worn and old that entire words were missing. I expect they harboured loads of germs so we didn’t touch them.

There were no robes or slippers in the room. I called reception and we received a bag containing a single robe but four pairs of slippers….
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? The room rate was $168 and the amenity fee was another $34. This covered EV charging and F45 training classes, what a joke. There are plenty of other IHG properties on Miami Beach so we’d probably try a different one next time.
