It would be really interesting if Capital One would able to bring DC in North America under their/Discover umbrella somehow, at least on the consumer side if not the corporate/biz side.
On the other hand, the Diners Club "brand" has been decimated in the US. Other than a handful of FT and folks on Reddit / and other credit card focused websites, no one under the age of 40 would even recognize the brand anymore. I just asked my cousin (32) he had zero clue what Diners Club is/was. His best guess was he thought I was talking about some new restaurant in LA that was membership-only. Not sure how much value it would have to try and necessitate the brand name vs trying to expand on the Discover portfolio.
