I've done the boarding by facial recognition a few times now at DFW and JFK. What I don't understand is, where did they get the photo to compare my face to when they scan me at the gate? I don't recall ever having my photo taken by an airline or consenting to such a photo. Do they use the photo on my passport (which I guess they scanned at check-in)?
