Buses are an option, but the "late night" might be an issue. From

So If you're arriving after about 8pm I think you'll need to shell out for the super-expensive limos or stay a night in HK and go to Macau the next morning.
Thanks for this. Yeah, we arrive at 22:45, so the best bet it seems to do a hotel near the airport and then go the following day.
