I personally believe that the improper long storage of the a380 fleet is more of an issue here. I don’t think there is any flight safety issue but this constant issues with the fleet is concerning. Which other BA fleet has such a high issue rate where based on schedule you can have 2 constantly non flying and that is not enough because a 3rd goes tech.
One thing I have definitely noticed is BA prices BA212-213 much more aggressively than flights operated by other aircraft. A round trip in first is often less than $5k. At that price, and having GGL status for IRROPS it’s almost worth taking a chance, as long as I don’t have to deal with an important appointment at my destination.
