Does this statement from wiki of this thread mean it’s better to book 4 people on separate PNRs to maximize available discount fare buckets?

“Going back to J8C5D3Z0P0, if you want 4 seats on a single PNR, you will have to purchase C fare, as there isn't enough inventory for D fare for everyone on the PNR and everyone on a common PNR must have the same fare class / fare basis.”
UA does show I inventory in expert mode. However, codeshare flights do not have an I bucket and therefore will not show one.

Whether or not it’s beneficial to book on separate PNRs for pricing purposes depends upon a number of factors, not the least of which being that UA can adjust inventory at any time, and frequently does so after a sale. So if you were to buy 3 seats on a D fare, you may find that inventory becomes J5 C0 instead of J5 C2.
