Most places in the EU, if I use my EU passport, my wife on her Canadian passport can accompany me in the EU line, which is consistently shorter.

OTOH, flying out of ARN the other day, they would not and sent us back to the "other passport" line.

Also, beware that at LIS, if you did not enter the EU at LIS, you cannot use the automated machines when leaving.
