If one good thing can come out of this, it's KL finally enforcing boarding zones, because they just don't seem to care at all, not even at AMS. Perhaps when cash is on the line, they will stop letting group 5 board during zone 1-2 boarding... Or not.
This hasn't been my experience the last few years, KL always checked the zone (at least 1-2) at AMS, outstations mixed. My worst airport to date is actually CDG, that has never once not been a complete mess when it comes to boarding zones (both airports short haul). Luck of the draw perhaps
